August 2017 Update

People in Tanzania who were waiting to hear the Gospel
are now rejoicing in their salvation!

(But, there are still so many more people waiting to hear)

Isaiah 25:9 “And it will be said in that day, “Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.” (NASB)

After all the years of churches seeking to fulfill our Lord’s Great Commission, it is amazing how many people are still waiting to hear of His Salvation. What a blessing it is to inform you that through your support of CRM and the sharing of the gospel using the chronological Bible story cloths, people by the thousands who have been waiting for His salvation are waiting no more. Thousands are now rejoicing in His salvation in places like Kenya, Uganda, S. Sudan, Zambia, China, India, Mexico, South America, Belize, and on the Indian reservations of America.

We are especially excited to tell you that as God worked through a camping evangelism team in Tanzania last month, there are now 1,677 more men and women, boys and girls, who have been waiting that God might save them, who are now rejoicing in His salvation. The camping team was made up of men from Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Tennessee and Central Baptist Church in North Carolina. They arrived at Mount Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania on July 22 and were joined the next day by Maasai pastors and believers who served as interpreters, guides and guards. The first night of camping, the team heard voices speaking in Maasai at around 3 am. It turns out that members of a church in the area of the camp were praying for the team!

Over the next ten days, the team shared the chronological Bible stories on the Story Cloth and 438 men, 893 women, and 346 youth professed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many, if not most, of those in Tanzania who came to faith in Jesus had never seen or heard about the Story Cloth before. After hearing the Gospel presented on the Story Cloth, one area chief asked the team to come back the next day so that more of his people could hear. What an amazing tool God has entrusted to Calvary Road ministry. There is no doubt that God gave our founder, John Shepherd, His vision of using camping teams to share it in places where most volunteers and many missionaries could not reach because of their need to return to the accommodations of larger communities. We are now positioned to reach thousands upon thousands of Maasai in Tanzania.

Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Mt 24:14 ESV) It is your support in praying, going, and giving so that others may go, that makes it possible for the gospel to be proclaimed in some of the most remote places on earth. Thank you for your support. Be sure to review the pictures on the next page to get a better idea of what God is doing through you.
