Graduate of an Islamic University in Sudan
“Tony” was a devoted Muslim. Graduated from the University of Ny….. He studied Sharia law. His hope was to go to Palestine to fight Israel. But he did not get a chance to go over there. There is a time we were taking tea in the market. For we were discussing about the African international University in Khartoum and other colleges like the Sharia law in Ny… and other places. These universities are specifically aimed to Islamise Africans. He was so much interested in the discussions and his view was changed so much. From that day he became a friend. We invited him to come on our daily discussion group. He came the first day he was so much afraid with the content of discussion but he developed interest at the same time. He left us there he did not finish the discussion but next day he came back. He continued coming and after his heart was opened. He shared his life story and the way he felt with our group. After that we shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. This person not only accepted Christ but he has an idea of how to engage Muslims effectively. The first step he did is: In Darfur people have very primitive school teaching Quran (Islamic sacred text) they are using a piece of wood called (Loho) to write Quran on it. He says we can use this strategy to help kids memorize Bible. He said I will do that at my home I will help my children to write the Gospel of John. He said I want my children to memorize Quran but now they will memorize the whole Bible. He said it is good people to memorize text for it sounds nice to people when they hear things already memorized.

Alfred
It was yesterday on 8th of February 2022 in my town in Darfur. I was called by a friend called “Alfred”. He is one of our disciples but he is not in the Bible school class. He informed me that he has already started a discipleship group at his home. He told me to go and help them know Christ. It was a big surprise for me! I found him with a group of twelve people. Most of them are university students. One of them talk on behalf of the group and said, we were waiting for you to help us know how to practice our Christian face daily! We also have some questions concerning the doctrine of Trinity. I praised God for his grace upon this group! I said okay that sounds very good. I had the mini projector that God provided through CRM with Jesus Film. I told them please if you can allow me to show Jesus film in our language we will talk more about. They said oh yes we have the whole night let's watch the film. We briefly watched Jesus Film in Fur language. These people were very happy and seriously were amazed with what they have got in Jesus film. Then I asked them do you all believe in Jesus Christ? The response was Oh yes all of them. Great! I said Okay let's pray, we prayed and we have discussed a lot how a believer should live in a Muslim community. It was from 9 pm to 3 am we prayed and said bye to each other.

Please pray for Alfred, his family and friends to continue to serve God in his kingdom.

Please pray for believers with Islamic background most of them are being persecuted by their relatives.

Homer and Sabrina
“Homer” was Muslim who came to Christ when we preached good news to him. He told us that he also taught his wife “Sabrina the Bible every night before they go to bed. Sabrina saw the way her husband changed and the way he began to treat her. On 21/01/2022 the couple were reading the Bible. Sabrina was thinking different things about this new way. Homer realized that Sabrina was not concentrating. He asked, her “what is the matter?” She said, “we really need expose this way to our people. I have seen the life of my father and his wives. They had no peace at all every night they quarrel and sometimes my father beat my mother. I have seen my elder sister goes in the same way with her husband. My brother with his wife. They have no peace at their homes. The reason is because they don't have Chirst in their lives. Though it is heard for them to accept Christ but as I and you have accepted Christ in our lives, let's work heard to bring our relatives to Christ.”

Homer got very happy as his wife could think that way within a short time of her experience with Christianity. Homer told his wife let's pray that God will help us preach his word to our people.

Please let's pray for this couple to serve God in his kingdom.

Zainab
What a strong faith out of difficult situation like the one of “Zainab” who has got serious problem with her marriage. Zainab has heard about the church in _______. She is a teacher in one of the schools of our area. She came in the church and she said “I have heard about the church but I don't see bad people coming here so I have decided to come and see whether their message is true!” “What do people say?” we asked her. She said, “people are saying that infidels have arrived in our country, and they have brought Christian materials teaching our children. But what I am seeing are very smart people are coming in the church and there is no problem happening. So, I have come to check by myself if this is true.”

We told her “you are a teacher and you understand most of the materials when you read. You can judge by yourself if Christian materials are wrong.” We gave her Paul's message to Galatians we asked her to read by herself. She took a time and read the book and read she was interested with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. She asked, “the book is really nice but do you really believe that Jesus is the Son of God?” We took time to explain for her what does it mean when we say Jesus is the son of God. At last, her mindset was changed and she said, “I wish I had known this before!” She asked very funny question, “do you accept women to be Christians?” We told her “You are a daughter of the Lord from the time you have decided to accept Christ.”

Zainab accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and after the prayer she felt joyful. She said “I had a dream for such occasion but I didn't know that this was the time!” She requested for a Bible and we gave her one. She took it with her. She hid the book from her husband for almost three weeks. But a day came her husband found her reading the Bible. The husband asked “what kind of a book that you are reading?” She answered, life solution book. Her husband was like, okay let me see it. He read the book and he said “this is Christian book where did you get it?” She didn't lie, she said I went to the church, and I got it there. The husband got very annoyed and call for her father.

Now the father came and asked her about the story of the book. She explained everything clearly. The father said, “your husband is very clear if you follow this book he is going to divorce you and I am out of this.” She said to her father that “you have taught us that truth is over all and we have to live it. And now as Jesus is the truth, we don't need to change it. You are the only two men that meant a lot in my life. But God is above all of us. One thing I know is that you have not read this book I ask you to read this book carefully and if there are things you don't understand go to these people of the Church to explain for you.” Both the father and the son-in- law went out while they are confused. We are still waiting to see what God is going to in Zainab's life. Please pray with her as she is going to face challenges.

Simon reached seventeen of his friends through a praise song.

It was in September I had Masalit praise song from someone. I had a friend of mine his name is Simon, I asked him whether he understands the song. He told me yes I understand that he is praising someone called Yassu. I asked him, do you know Yassu? He said I don't know him. That gave me great opportunity to share the gospel with him. Simon was so excited as his people are seriously persecuted by Arab Muslims, even though they are all professing Muslims.

He took the message seriously and he asked me to share the song with him. I had the Micro SD card that CRM ministry provided. I gave him that memory card loaded with Masalit song and Jesus Film in Sudanese Arabic. Simon got very happy and gave great thanks. He said my brother, we have been deceived all the way from our great grandfather’s up to today. Simon said “I will lead my people to understand this message.”

Within only 15 days he shared the Jesus Film with more 200 hundred people and he said I asked everybody to share with others. He told me that he has got 7 people accepted Christ and that I need to go and share the gospel with them. I did not visit them yet due to the security issues in Masalit area. But I am so excited to visit these people please, look up Masalit materials we need them to come to Christ.

Albert shared the gospel with _____village people.

We sent “Albert” to a certain village to take the gospel there. We equipped him with the projector loaded with Jesus Film and some SD cards. This equipment is provided by God through CRM.

Albert reached to that place. He started making friends to share with them the gospel. The first person he got was one of his colleagues in the university. His friend became a man of peace. They stayed together for some good days. He has given to his friend enough information that he understands everything. His friend is called “Terry” and he says, “I wish we could have received the message before. People could have been saved by now. But there is still time, and we will do more than we can imagine.

Terry started talking to people and the first person he talked to was his wife. His wife “Helen” she accepted Christ. She became very active because she could listen everything her husband and his friend were saying about Jesus Christ. She goes in the villages and tells other women that “someone with good message is in our home please you can came and listen to him.”

Albert said, “women and children came, and we watched Jesus film and explain all the themes of Jesus film. The message reached to these people. We have many leaders like Albert who don't fear to share the gospel with Muslims, and they just need to be equipped so that we can reach as many as possible. Darfur will soon be a Christian community who love Jesus Christ. They will be reconciled to God instead of being his enemies. They will be good friend to God and to the world as well.

One of the Barti guys came to us in the church.

Since 2020 we have started praying about Barti people coming to Christ. On October first, early in the morning, a Barti boy came to the church compound. He stayed outside the church for almost 2 hours. After we prayed, we asked him if he is a good guy. He said “I have spent almost weeks looking for the church, but I didn't find. Is this the church?” We answered, yes, this is the church. He said “I was working in the market and one of my friends told me that there are Christians preaching Injil (Gospel) to people and they accept them to be Christians. So, for me, I want to be a Christian. We asked him whether he has heard the message before, he said, "no, I hear people talking about a different religion in town. So, I have decided to come and join you.”

From that day he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and continued coming along with his friends who also want to be Christians. We have seen how our brother knows to talk about his faith. From there they accepted Christ and continued coming to church. Please pray for these young men. They are facing intensive persecution from their family members.

Barti is a small tribe in Darfur very unreached by the Gospel.

Adam Umar with his two wives and 13 Children accepted Jesus Christ

Yesterday one of our disciples called Siddig* from a certain IDP camp called me and he told me that he has shared Jesus Film with more than one hundred and fifty persons. He told me that most of the people in his area, when they see him they will ask him to share Jesus film. He said that those whom he shared with also shared many with other people. Siddig said: “It is a movement of the Holy Spirit for most of the people when they watch Jesus film, they have responded positively and a big number of Muslims accepting Christ.” He said, people are really talking about the move of Christianity in the camp

A few days’ ago, a Muslim man name Adam Umar* walked up to him and said: “Siddig, we have heard about the problem that is going on in our camp, and many people are saying that you are the one turning people’s sons and daughters to Christianity. Is it true or false?” Siddig said, “It is false, I have no power to change anyone’s daughter or son but God is the one calling his sons and daughters into his kingdom.”

Muhammad asked Adam Umar, “but why do you call that a problem? If people are accepting Christ as their personal Lord and savior. Is that a problem?” Adam Umar told him, “don’t you know that if you are a Muslim and denounce Islam, and adopt any other religion that you deserved to die?” Siddig answered, “I know but death is everyone’s destination. However, let me tell you about the people who accept Christ as their personal Lord and savior. They do not fear the temporary death but rather they fear the eternal death.”

Siddig told him let me tell you what the Bible says about this. Jesus knew that there would be people killing his followers and he pre-warned them in (Matthew 10:28). And they opened the Bible and read, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Do you people know about hell? Adam Umar asked. Siddig said, I would like you to watch Jesus film and you will decide whom you will fear. Adam Umar said, yes I would like to know about this, I didn’t know that Christians know about hell. Siddig shared Jesus film with Adam Umar and he also asked Muhammad to loan him his Bible and he will bring it back.

Adam Umar took the materials and went and within only one week he came back to Siddig and told him, “My friend thank you so much for I didn’t know that Bible was such a beautiful book. I have accepted Jesus Christ and both my two wives and my children. We have decided to fear Him who is able to destroy both the soul and body. We watched Jesus' film in our language and when we were watching the film everybody cried. I have also shared the gospel with Muazin (that is a man in mosque who calls people to come for prayer) did you hear him these days calling people for prayer?” Siddig told me that he was much surprised with what God is doing in that IDP camp.

David, do you remember in 2021 in Arua when you have given me money to buy a phone? I bought a phone and gave to this Siddig who has now brought many people to Christ. He told me to give you special thanks for the gift. He told me the phone helped him a lot to go online to read more Christian materials to help him in witnessing for Jesus Christ among his people. I also call new believers to encourage them and to share what God is doing.

Fatima and Abibi
This is one of the stories given during the women’s conference. Fatima* was a Muslim who came to accept Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. But her husband is still Muslim he doesn't allow her to go to the church. She attends any Christian meeting only when her husband is not at home.

She was invited for the women’s conference. She asked her husband's permission, but he refused. She told him for this conference, I will attend. He didn't say anything until the day came. The conference day came, and the husband didn't go to the market. He was staying at home not going to the market to make sure that Fatima has not attended. Then she said to herself, we have been told to pray if we are in difficult situation like this. She prayed asking God to find for her a way to attend the conference. While she was praying, the police arrived looking for her husband because he has bought a stolen non rechargeable motorcycle. So, he has been taken to the police station. Then she has got access to attend the conference. She encouraged her fellow sisters in Christ to pray in all situations. She praised God for answering her prayers!

Let's pray that God will normalize Fatima's relationship with her husband.

This is Abibi’s story she was a Muslim and gave her life to Christ. She was with us in Kajo Keji. Her husband professed Christ, but he has gone back to the world. He didn't go back to Islam, but he went to the world. He used to beat Abibi with a staff like an animal and later he divorced her. He took another wife and divorced her also. He went back to South Sudan and married another lady.

Abibi went back to her mother's home in M___. She shared the good news of Jesus Christ with her mother and her uncle's two daughters. She said they have helped me to share the gospel with many people. She said, I have six years since my husband divorced me, and up to to today, he has never helped me with a pound, nor paid school fees for my three kids. But God has provided all our needs with my kids. Her elder brothers wanted to give her a husband, but she said I am now a grown lady I can choose a husband for myself. I am waiting for a true Christian man or I am not going to marry. So, she encouraged Christian ladies not to be married by Muslim men.

Some details of the incident in Za____ Church.
The Christian Church in Za____ was brutally attacked by perpetrators at 1 am after midnight. This has happened after most members of the Church confess their sin and vowed to serve God with their entire lives. It was on 21/2/2022 that 6 Muslims gave their lives to Christ and they were deeply sorry for their lives they live without Christ. After the midnight of 23/2/2022 at one p.m. unknown gunmen arrived at the church compound kicking the doors, shouting Allahu-Ackbar (that’s “great is allah!”) and firing, saying, we shall kill all the infidels today and they were blaspheming Christianity.

Mursa* who fled there was reporting exactly. I knew he was very traumatized, so I cooled him down by telling him let’s pray first and we shall talk about this.

Then I asked him what had happened.

He said, “I was sleeping, and I was dreaming that someone wanted to take off my blanket and I woke up. I went to rest room and when I was coming back, I met a young boy call Alnazir he asked me not to close the door for I also want to go to the shelter. So, he went to the shelter when he was coming back into the room. He saw people with guns, and he shouted loudly and woke the other students who were sleeping. Then the intruders got with all the shouting above. I was hiding near the door, they shot at me with three bullets but none of the bullets hit me. I managed to escape, I went to Husna’s home and I woke her up and came with her here. Because I knew people would not open for the door at this time of night and they don’t know me”.

Then I immediately called Pastor Mubarak after he received my call. I could hear them sing praising songs with a loud voice (I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back).

I asked him, what had happened?

He told me that unknown gunmen came into the compound and they attacked all the four living room doors by kicking them and they destroyed them. They shouted Allahu-ackbar, they threaten us that they are going to kill all of us, however they were afraid to get in, nonetheless, they have tried to enter in my room and I caught the gun barrel I want take from him the gun and he started firing and the students with me urged me to leave the gun barrel and I released the gun. They did not get in, they continued to shout we shall kill all of you today we shall kill all of you today!

Then we prayed to God, our Lord Jesus. It's for of your name’s sake that people are hating us, if it is your will for us to die, let your will be done, if it is not your will we need your protection. Amen! And the perpetrators immediately went out. They collected some chairs and some clothes and chose a small table. But we are only missing one person. We don't know whether he is alive or dead because these guys ran after him. I asked, do you mean Mursa*? He is here with me.

They were happy again, they continued praying and singing praising songs until the morning.

Let’s pray for the Church and especially for the students who are in the class. Most of them are very worried and are not able to concentrate.

Alam's response to the news CRM would pay for 500 hardcopy full Bibles located in Khartoum
Thank you so much brother. That would be very helpful for the Christian community in Darfur for they don't have access to Christian materials. Bibles and other materials will help them live their lives normally. Ali* also informed that walking with Jesus films helped people to have fellowship meetings and many people changed their lives after they have watched the chief of that village change his life. What the meaning of the church is, people in those areas they didn’t understand. But after they have watched walking with Jesus Film it became normal and understandable. Aboud lives in _____, North East Jabal Marra. This happened next to the area where Ali* lives. He said children in that area most of them memorised stories of Jesus film and walking with Jesus's films. We thank God for He is moving in that area; we have been praying for it. That’s the area where my father came from. I pray that they will be saved by the grace of God.

This is Abuduljabar was a Muslim before coming to Christ. He grew up in a Muslim family and went for Islamic school until he has graduated. He lives in North Darfur in an IDP camp. He works for health ministry, and he came to Za___ for a workshop. In the workshop he has heard that there are Darfurians who have a big church here. He has already heard about a group of people in the camp where he lives who are following Jesus Christ, but he did not know that even in Za___ there are people who follow Christ. One of his colleagues introduced me in the market. We took tea together and after a time of discussion, I shared gospel with them. Then Abuduljabar* told me that he has compared the Quran and the Bible and the Christianity with Islam and he came up with the result that Christianity gives life and Islam takes life. He read for me both he read in Islam and in Christianity:

“Muhammad says, ‘I have been commanded to fight against the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and until they establish the prayer and pay the Zakah. If they do so, their blood and property are guaranteed my protection, unless (they commit acts that are punishable) in accordance with Islam, and their reckoning will be with Allah’, the Almighty’ ” (Sahih Muslim book 1).

In Islam there is no life except for Muslims.

But Jesus says, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:9-10 NIV). Paul also said, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

In Christianity you get in by yourself and have full life.

Then he decided to follow Christ, but he found his friends scared him that he will be crazy if he changed his religion. He said, “I have stayed for three years not going to Mosque nor to the Church. But my commitment to Islam was useless. I am so happy that I met you today, I now understand what my friend told was just trying to keep me in his line. Is there any specific ritual that I should do to be a Christian? I told him no, Christianity is more about relationship with God. You were an enemy to God, and you need to be a friend to God, you need to repent from your sin, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior, then you are a Christian. Then he asked me how I live my Christian life then? Love God, love people, read Bible, pray, fast, and talk to people about Christ so that they can also have life. Then we prayed together, and he gave his live to Christ. Later his testimony changes his friend who was with us as well.

Pray for Abuljabar to continue preaching Christ in his IDP camp.

Neem Abram
This is my friend Neem Abram. We met 9 months ago. He went for digging gold after he was expelled from the school. He was a committed Muslim and worked as a teacher. He was witnessed to by our disciple call Sabir*. He has attended our devotion meeting for only two weeks. He was so much interested, and he has shared the gospel with his family, friends and teachers at school as well. He became well known Christian around the area.

There is a teacher call Noradin who is tough Muslim, and he hated our brother Neem. He raised a complaint that “Neem is leading our children in wrong way. He has made many people to be Kafirs.” Soon after, He was expelled from the school. He pursued the case in the court, but he found himself getting a problem instead of solving it.

He left the area and went for mining the gold and there he got around 50 thousand dollars. He told me he first sat on his knees and thanked Jesus Christ, because of his name sake people persecuted him and in return he has given him what he was never going to get by teaching school. Neem says, “I had got a chance to share gospel with the different tribes in mining fields. I have shared Jesus film with one hundred and fifty people; 17 people accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour; 9 people are from different tribes and 8 people from the same tribe.” He even encouraged me saying “let's not fear persecution for God uses it for the good of spreading the good news of his kingdom.”

Pray for brother Neem and his friends whom he preached to them. We need to follow them one by one in their different tribes. Let's pray to continue with boldness to be witness to Jesus Christ among the Sudanese.

Hussain
Hussain was a devoted Muslim. He doesn't want his brother to go to school instead he wants his brothers to be Islamic Sheikhs. He took two of his brothers to Islamic tradition school (Khalwa), where most of the students are chained until the they memorise the whole Quran. Unfortunately, both of his brothers died from the beating and the harsh treatment from the Sheikhs. They called Hussain to come and remove his two brother's dead bodies. He didn't know that his brother's will die. But he signed that if they are dead, he will say nothing. So, he kept quiet. But he kept asking himself wether Islam is a right religion.

Hussain was passing by when I was preaching in the Market. He found me comparing Bible school with Islamic tradition schools and their impact on the community. I gave an example of our neighbour who lost their son from the beating of Shaikhs of Aljinena Khalwa. I didn't know Hussain has suffered from the same schools to the point that he end up losing his two brothers. He was so much touched. He didn't say anything but then he asked someone, do you know that guy? He was pointing at me and the person told him that he is a Christian having a Church up there. He just went back he didn't say anything again.

On Sunday, he came to the church. He prayed with us after the prayer he told us his story. He said from the day my brothers were dead I lost faith in Islam. I heard you talking in the market, and I thought that you were talking about me. But I realised that you didn't know anything about the story. So, I came so you can tell me more about your way of belief. We did our job and God help him to accept Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour.

Hussain said “in my area people respect me so much and I have a number of friends. I will get them to know Christ.” He took a Bible and a Messanger (MP3 player) with him and he went telling people about this new way. After some time, he came back with amazing report. He said that “my brother my eyes are open now I could see. I could see our real problem we are lost because we don't have Christ in our lives.” He also said that he reached to three areas in Central Darfur and in Western Darfur.

In the areas of Am____, where he preached to three of his friends and all of them accepted Christ. He reached to Gar___ he preached to many people and three accepted Christ. He went to Um____ and he preached to a family who gave their lives to Christ. This couple had very hard experience after their faith.

I will go and ask Hussain to give me the full details of their story and I will write as soon as possible. I was trying to make sure what he was saying was true, I asked him to call for someone from Am___ to encourage them to continue in their faith and one day we will be there. He call a man by name, Ali*, and Ali* told us his incredible story. So, we prayed with our brother Hussain and he went out.

Please pray for Hussain and the brothers he reached.

Gloria and Janjaweed
We talk last time about the camping of the Janjaweed around our city, and we said maybe God will use this as an opportunity for them to come to know Jesus.

Gloria used to go to them and share the gospel with some of them, and amazingly an old woman accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The next day, she gathered the three wives of her sons and her daughters, and she called Gloria to come and share the message with them. Gloria went on Monday and had them listen the good news of Jesus Christ. All of these family members accepted Jesus Christ. Big door is opening among this people group. I have not been able to go there yet because of insecurity issue, but for sure I will go to them, or we will plan on training some among them to lead that ministry.

Dawn
I also want to tell you that some of our believers are undergoing potential persecution from their family. Three brothers were beaten by their family members, but they prefer to leave their homes and follow Jesus. “Dawns’s” house was burned because she is Christian and the people around there said that Dawn has turned their area upside down. And all their daughters are Joining the Church and telling their parents that Christianity is right, and Islam is not! That stirred up the anger of the Islamic leaders and they encourage some evil people to burn her house. So, we are looking at helping her get another house somewhere because she is living in an IDP camp. She is old and she can’t manage to rebuild her house again. Even if we help her to renew that house it will not be secure for her. We estimated $400 to pay her rent for one year, that will remain good preaching point or evangelism center because many people like Dawn and the way she present Jesus to people.

Mudri was a Muslim converted to Christianity in Darfur.
Mudri was a Muslim who gave his life to Christ in July 2020. He loved Christ so much, though his family persecuted him terribly in extend that one day he was out and when he came back home, he found all his belongings on the street. He took his things back in his room and started praying. His father came and told him that he should only stay that night and early in the morning should go out of his home unless he denounces his faith. He told his father that it is not bad even if now I can leave but does it deny the fact that I am your son? Though I live outside of this house I am still your son. Instead of throwing me out of your home allow me to explain why I chose to be Christian. So, God touched his father’s heart and he allowed him to explain for him his faith and the reason he accepted Christ. Mudri said, “I took almost two hours talking to my father and he was listening with open mouth”. He explained for him Christian relationship with God and how serious Christians are in their faith. Lastly his father said, “What I hear from people is different from what you have just said. Please my son my worry is all about your future and your relationship with God. If this is true, then continue to serve God in a manner that is worthy”. Mudri was so happy that God help him to let his father understand. Mudri came and told me his story. I was very happy it was just a night before that we were praying for the persecuted brother in our town! Mudri told me that he has his friends in their village to go and share with them good news. I prayed with him and told him that you go there and take Jesus Film and show it to them and from there you can start preaching to them good news. Mudri went and visited seven villages and in each area, he showed the film more than three times. Mudri came back with an amazing report. He said that he showed Jesus film in seven villages and more than 500 hundred people watched the film and 14 Muslims gave their lives to Christ.

Let’s pray for Mudri and his family and the people who gave their lives to Christ to continue with their faith.

Dana
“Dana” was a Muslim she was born in a Muslim family. She worked for UN for 10 years in Darfur. She met many Christians at her work. Many Christian people had a great impact on her life. I didn't know Dana before. There was a day we took a transport together, in the car people were talking about loyalty. Dana said, “Christians are more loyal than Muslims for me I have worked with them and these people are serious in everything they do and say” I was like Oh! Is she a Christian? I asked myself. But I said nothing! Later, I asked Dana “have you ever read Christian book?” She said “no, though they have given me but I have never read their book for me I don't want to be a Christian.”

I told her “it is good to read their book it doesn't make you Christian but all in all you need to know the truth and the truth will set you free.” She even doesn't know me. She said “if I was reading their book I could have learned a lot.” I asked her, “Do you know that Muslim scholars are reading Bible in order to interpret Quran?” She was confused and she was like “how can they read Bible while they tell us that when you touch a Bible you will fast three days?” Now, you need to go and read stories of prophets like Joseph, Musa and Isa and read the comments and tell me where they have come up with interpretations. An example is the name of Eve it is not mentioned in Quran. But read any comments about Adam and his wife you will fine Hawa mentioned and it is not in the Quran. Muslim scholars read stories from the Bible and give details to Quranic story.

She took it seriously, and she said I will go and do it. We exchanged our contacts. After few days, the lady called me and at first asked me, “are you Christian?” Why? I asked her, is it because we talked about Christianity in the transport? She was like “I was just asking to help me. I have been reading the book through the whole week. I have got so excited; I have discovered things I have never seen them before.” Do you want to be Christian after you have read the book? I asked her. She said I have admired what I read, but I have to get clear in something I don't understand up to today. I asked her, what are those things that you don't understand specifically? She said “that Jesus is the Son of God!” I told her if that is your problem that is very simple. It is not what you are thinking. There is a church in ______ if you come there we shall meet there and we will talk more about this matter. To our surprise she came to the Church. And she found me there! I told you I knew that you were a Christian. I told “yes, I am the one. Please welcome.” She said, “I have decided to follow Jesus so that I can have eternal life.” Great! “Jesus loves you beyond your imagination,” I said to her.

So, we talked about it and she was totally convinced and she is ready to be baptized now. She opened a good discussion with her friends, and she brought her sister to faith, and many others are listening. Please pray for Dana and her sister that God will use them for His glory.

Michael
In 2021 Christianity spread beyond our expectations. In the mosques all over Darfurian cities and towns, people spoke about the spread of Good News that is happening through the media and the other materials that Calvary Road Ministries has provided. A Muslim young man whose name is “Michael” heard about Christianity and that it is a very dangerous. Michael said that he heard an Imam of the mosque say that Christians have opened many churches and many youth are now following these people and we need to stop this. Michael heard about the issue, but he never took it seriously. He doesn't know about Christianity, but he said to himself “let me know something at least I can be aware about this dangerous religion.”

Surprisingly, Michael found his friend had an English and Arabic diglot Bible under his bed. These Bibles were provided by CRM. He started talking to his friend about what he heard in the mosque. His friend told him; “our people are fighting against the book that God brought to his people. I can give you the book to read for yourself.” Michael said “oh my brother, that's what I was going to ask you. Where will I get Christian book in this world.” He pulled the Bible from under his bed and gave it to him.

The young man was so happy at first time to see Christian book. He opened the book at Isaiah 55:6 which says, "Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, Call ye upon Him while He is near.” He was surprised that the book is talking about the Lord. He was afraid that he may become a Christian. He asked Allah to help him not to go out of his way. He opened the book again and he read the word of Jesus in the book of John 6:47 "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life." He counted this as a direct speech to him. He closed the book again and this time round he asked his friend. “What does it mean to believe in Jesus?” His friend is a committed Christian and explained to him the message clearly. They have argued but then his friend sent him asking him to go and ask the real God who created him to show him the right way.

Michael asked to take the Bible with him. His friend pleaded him “please only five days and then bring it back.” He took the book with all happiness. He kept it for a week but he brought the book back and apologized to his friend. He said “my friend guess what!” What? “I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour! From the time you explained to me and as I was reading the book, I felt like I was with God.” His friend told him that Bible says when you are outside the kingdom, you are an enemy of God, but when you believe in God you are reconcile with him through the death of Christ. And Jesus says he will be with us until the end. These two brothers got very happy and celebrated God's deliverance.

Please pray for these brothers that God will change others through their lives.

Ismail and Joseph are friends who got saved in October.

It was on the first of October 2021 when brother “Moses,” who is our new pastor in the church, prepared for the community to lay bricks for construction work. He shared the gospel with these Ismail and Joseph at the work place. They didn’t believe that Moses was a Christian, but after hearing his message, they asked him why he has converted.

That question gave brother Moses an opportunity to share his testimony. He told them "I really didn't know the meaning of the life before I came to Christ. It was the moment when I received Christ my life has changed, and I felt I am having new life. Jesus gave me so much that I can't imagine! Jesus provided peace in my heart. Before, I was only thinking about evil plans but now I love people with the true meaning of love". Surprisingly, they said to Moses "we have seen your life has changed!” Ismail said, “I am also struggling to love people, even my parents". Moses told them, “in this new life, the Bible tells us that God is love and if we don't love people whom we see with our own eyes, how can we love God whom we can't see?

Their story continued for three days and ultimately both believed in Christ. They came in the church. After the prayer, Ismail said “I felt like I was loaded with heavy things, and someone have taken them from me.” Joseph said, “I could hear someone tell me, ‘my son, you are found.’” They gave praise to God.

Alex
This was one of our disciples in Juba. He went to Sudan in 2016. He was actively involved in preaching and bringing people from the darkness to the light of Christ. He was arrested in 2017 by the government of Sudan because of his faith. But Jesus acted wonderfully. He brought one of his relatives and claimed that this is my brother and he was released.

However, Alex* continued to suffer because of persecution he has experienced in the prison. He was tortured with electricity and beaten to denounce his faith but he was screaming. "You people you are helping me to go to my lord, but you need to know the Lord who will save you in your destinies Jesus Christ. I will never pray against you for I know as humans you will never torture someone because of his faith but Devil who is against God will do whatever he can to stop word". One of the security guys who was called Asim was convicted by what Alex* was saying. He asked his fellow security guys to stop torturing him. He said, we are only doing the work for someone who will never have mercy on us when we do any mistake. As he has spoken all of them stopped and one of them said to Alex*, what will happen if you just denounce your faith and be with us everyone will be happy and our boss will give you a very good job. I know your boss can make me even your boss but my worry is mot of this world but for Hereafter. Therefore, they left him to get some rest. He said, " I was praying to God, please if this is not my destiny help me out of this". Then his relative appeared claiming that he was his brother and he was released.

He said, "I know it's only Jesus who released me. Because even the very person was one of the people who was hoping I would die, but then God used him to release me from the hands of those Muslims".

I met Alex in Alfashir in 2021 in March as I was going to Khartoum. It was of a sudden we were looking for a transport to Khartoum and here meets us a man who says I have a bus for you all the tickets together. And I was interested if we can have three tickets together. So he said what are your names? I recognised him from his voice. And I asked him, my brother, if I am not mistaken, are you Alex Umar? Yes I am. And he said, "I was doubting is this my teacher Alam or someone else?" I told him yes, I am Alamadin. But what has happened to you? He said, my brother I am just living for the grace of God. My body was destroyed by the security guys in Khartoum. But God really has something for me that I don't comprehend yet.

He told me his story and we prayed together, and we said bye. But I kept praying for him. His was body much weakened that he was not able to move. His brother called me several times telling me his brother was on his way to die. I kept asking God to heal him and make him one of his powerful leaders in Darfur. Just yesterday on first of April 2022 I received a phone call and my head was full of joy answering that calling. The person asked me, are you pastor Alam? I answered yes. He said, " I am Alex* standing in the same place we met last year. My body is completely healed! This is a miracle, my people who thought God was punishing me because I became a Christian came to believe in Jesus Christ and they said this is a real God. Ten of my close relatives accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior including the person who released me from the prison.

He said, please pray for me I am struggling with many things. My heart's desire is to help the lost to know their Lord. But I have consumed all my money getting treatment for my body. I would like if God helped me to establish my own ticket office to support myself and bring people to Christ.

So please pray for Alex* that God will continue helping him in all the process he is going through.

Alam writes about Muslim men sexually abusing both girls and boys

Indeed, this is what Quran teach. Imagine Muhammad tells his followers that there are youths in heaven helping people giving them alcohol and they are looking as nice as pearls. Look this is a verse from Quran: "They will be waited on by eternal youths. If you saw them, you would think they were scattered pearls" (Surah Insan 19).

You leave that! Look at this worst part. Muhammad's Allah tells his Muslims that they can have right to have sex with those under their care or what is called "their right hand possess."

Here is the verse:
"And they who guard their private parts. Except from "their wives" or "those their right hands possess", for indeed, they will not be blamed. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors" Surah Al-Mu'minin 5-7.

Now you can see they have no blame on doing that for they have a permission. Because those their right hand possesses, the gender is not classified so they do what they can do.

We had a very great day with Christian women from Muslim backgrounds. The conference brought together wonderful souls of different ages in Za…. Church. It was an absolute pleasure, to meet many of them together and hear their wonderful stories. This was a historical conference in Darfur. Most of these women have a great deal of courage to step in the church without fear regardless of the recent attack. Most of them witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit.

Mariamu* said, before I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and saviour, I thought I was such a strong woman. But when I confessed my sin and accepted Christ I found myself very weak. However, I have special feelings of happiness. I didn't realise that the power of sin has gone away, and the power of the Holy Spirit has come. I kept asking God to strengthen me and empower me. So, he did it! I feel very happy now. Whenever I go to the church or share gospel with other people I feel happy. I am so happy as I speak to you now. And all I plan and hope for is all about the kingdom of God."

Many of them have incredible stories but I will write them soon.

Response to the Assassination Attempt
We held a meeting to evaluate the intensive persecution that we faced in Za___. Leaders of the church surprised us with their zeal for the word of God. Suliman said, "the persecution encourages and makes us feel more better. We know they are jealous because we are serious in our religion and people kept joining the church. We are not better than the Apostles of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we must intensify the work among the unbelievers, and bear the persecution until the church will prevail".

Sam*, said, persecution shows us that there is a work going on and its success threatens others. But let's not neglect the enemy who wants to destroy. Jesus gave us enough examples to deal with unbelievers.

For example, Matthew, 10:16 Jesus said to them, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”. Let's not compete with them but instead love them, and always look ways to prove ourselves worthy of truth. As Paul exhort Timothy, to present himself as one approved by God, not ashamed to handle the word of truth correctly" (2Timothy 2:15).

Barak* said, Let's love each other and respect our families the life starts from home. When our families speak good of us others outside will have no way to accuse us. For the gospel is simply good news about our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to talk about our sin and how that caused our Lord Jesus to die, and his resurrection that's how he gave us hope to rise again and wait faithfully for his second coming".

Mursa* said, “Let's focus more in our homes to have effect on or relatives. We have seen God used families to safe the rest of the world. If we pay more attention at our homes we spread the message of the more easily.”

Hannah* said, “persecution because of our faith is not something strange. Every single day whenever I go home my neighbours throw stones on the roof. When they start throwing the stones, you will feel it's the last day. However, I know Jesus told us people will hate us if we believe in him. Paul also said, "To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?" (2 Corinthians 2:16). Of course, they are not happy because we are going to heaven and they are going to hell unless they repent."

Many people said good things that I can't record them here, but they have encouraged us to see the work has germinated.

Please pray for these people that God will use them in his kingdom.

Another message after the assassination attempt

Since Muslims attacked the Bible school in Za____, believers are more encouraged and many talents are discovered. I am quite sure that due to the wisdom God has given these people, they will carry the mission. I am so happy that our labour in establishing the church and the Bible school in Za____ is not in vain. Believers who have heard the attack from neighbouring areas came and encouraged believers here. Many of them testified that they have started discipleship classes. Umar* says, "this shows that there is a work going on and the Christian movement has started. For us in urban ares, are facing challenges of biblical materials. Specially, hard copies of Bibles are necessary. Believers love when they are together holding the same copies and read the same page. We only have three copies of Bibles and we are really in need of more if God can provide".

Muhammed* says, "we are a number of people in Ka___ believing in our Lord Jesus Christ. People asked me for Bible anytime we meet for Bible study. Please help us get Bibles, they are not available in our area".

Maji* says, "our brothers are happy in our village they have got Messengers (MP3 players) they're listening to them attentively. Messengers are helpful they help us listen the whole New Testament in just a few days. However, it is not easy to memorise Bible verses from them or to reference them".

We are praying for the Bibles please join us in prayer that God will provide hard copies. We are also praying for more digital materials for they are more helpful specially reaching to nonbelievers.

(CRM sent $5,500 to buy 500 Arabic Bibles in response to the request for hard copy Bibles)

Muhammad and Jamaa are teachers. They went for teachers conference. I met them at their uncle's son house who was my friend. They found me sharing the gospel with my friend's wife. They have attended the whole session of preaching. After this Muhammad asked me if I can give him my book to read. Muhammad said, "It is my first time in my life to hear someone talking about Christianity in this way. He said, "I believe this is true. We need Christ to have peace.” Jamaa* said, I was having a question for Islam but I have never got the answer but today I got. I knew were just lost somewhere.

My friend Salee* was a bit worried about me talking about Christianity with his friends. He thought they may have a problem with him later. Then Saleem got very happy about his friends. We helped them to understand Christianity and what does it mean to live as a Christian. They gave their lives to Christ. Each one asked me for a Bible, but I had no Bible except the one I use. I promised them to find two Bibles to give them.

I went and looked for Bibles in the town but I didn't find. I asked for Bible from Khartoum. So, before those Bibles reach to the place they were staying, they came asking for Bibles almost three times within two days. When they got their Bibles, Muhammad said we will change (IDP camp) with these two Bibles. The worst thing was they were having only small phones and I lost my phone and their contacts have gone. This year I will go to visit these brothers in (IDP camp). Almost 2 million people live in such camps within Darfur.

Mudak and Ishmael – Jesus Film
Mudak* was a Muslim who accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour after he watched Jesus' Film. We have mini projectors that was provided by CRM, we gave one to Ishmael and he showed Jesus Film in Su____. This is an internal displacement people's camp located North Jabal Marra. Ishmael's aunt lives in that camp, so when Ishmael visited the area, he lodged at her home for some time.

He showed the Jesus Film most of his time that he was there. Mudak* after he saw the film he was moved and asked Ishmael some questions. “Why is the story so different from what we have read in Quran? Is it true that Jesus died?” Ishmael got an opportunity to share gospel with Mudak. So, Mudak accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. Therefore, he helped Ishmael to bring more people to watch the film. More than five hundred people have watched Jesus film and 27 of them accepted Christ.

Please pray for Mudak* he is asking for a shelter and some chairs to bring these people together to pray and learn the Word of God.

Please pray for a protection the area is dangerous. It is near a border shared between the government troops and the rebels/militia.

Attir
Attir was committed Muslim and he memorised the whole Quran and most of the Islamic tradition, and the tradition of Muhmad. He was preached to by Hesain. Attir, after he accepted Christ, ceased from going to the Mosque. The people in their area hated him.

Attir worked as a policeman. It happened there was a group of intruders want to kidnap someone's vehicle. Attir was informed, and he fired at the intruders and one of then fell dead. Now the report reached to the police office that an infidel killed a Muslim. So, the incident took another face. He was immediately arrested and put in the prison so he should pay the blood money.

Attir's wife came to him in the prison and he informed her that people are asking for the blood money. Attir send her to his elder brother. His elder told her that we don't pay money for infidels. It is all because he left our religion and Allah is punishing him. Let him pay and if he does have money let him also be killed.

The wife went back to Attir with that bad report. Attir said, “I know I didn't do anything wrong I just followed the instructions of police. God knows why these people are accusing me.” He asked his wife to pray with him. So, they prayed together. The wife went back home.

So, he called a police officer there and told him that my people don't have blood money to pay and if they want revenge let them kill me. So, the officer reported that. They wanted to kill him without taking him to the court. Attir continued praying asking the Lord: Jesus you know I am not wrong please help me. Two days later the officer was changed and another one took his place. He saw the case of Attir and went and interviewed him. Attir told him the whole story. He called for the people who were looking for the blood money. They came and he asked them for the eyewitness who saw Attir shoot this man. They brought the eyewitness and he ordered them arrested and he released Attir. Then Attir was promoted to be their leader in the area.

Praise the Lord! Our Lord is alive, and he does help us all the time.

Pray for Attir and his family that these people will not revenge and kill him.

Ishag
The man is called Ishag, I met him back in 2010 when I was in Ethiopia going to South Sudan. When I reached to Malakal, I lodged in the house used by my people. Ishag was Imam to them. Most of those people were either businessmen or students. When they knew that I was Christian no one came to greet me except Mohamed Adam and Ishag the Imam. I spent there 11 days. Ishag tried confronting me to return to Islam, but I told him that I am also praying for you brother.He just thought maybe I will be someone who is just lost.

One day he found me reading a book called “Red Suffering” in Arabic translation. He asked me to give him my book, I didn’t finish reading the book, but I gave it to him and a Bible to read. Then I went to Juba.

After three days Adam called me and told me this. “My friend, I am Ishag whom you gave the book of Red Suffering and the Bible. Since you were here, up to now when I stand before people to lead the prayer there is a cross standing in front of me. I keep trying to ignore it every time, but one time I came and as I stood to lead prayer with people behind me, I read the first Sura and started the second one. I was convinced that what I was doing was not right, and I just said, ‘this is not right.’ So, the cross stood before me and as I kept going toward the cross, the cross was moving and I found myself going after the it. I left people standing as I have gone after the cross. It was during the sunset, I found myself at the gate of the church and I heard a voice ‘this is the right place.’ So now I am not an Imam but the child of God”

From then he has preached gospel to all his family members, and they became a big church.

Report after Adam performed the first Christian wedding in Darfur. It was attended by many who are not Christians

I tell you, many women in the city after the wedding said “We have to come back to do our wedding again in the church!”

Another medical doctor said “you are supposed to open social school because if the community will attend this kind of teaching all the family problems will be resolved”

And after the wedding four people accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Today the city is all talking about the amazing things That God is doing in Za____.

The Government representative who was to officiate the marriage certificate was there and after the wedding came and said “my friend this is the way the church will come to dominate the community”

You see the support and an effort you are doing it’s making double impact in this Dark region of the world.

“I thank God for his provision of the phone, and the other materials you gave me last time. They have helped all our village people to hear about Jesus Christ and so many people accepted him. I used the phone to share Jesus Film and watch with friends. The phone also helped most our village people to communicate with their relatives. We are now forming three groups gathering two in our village and another in a neighboring village. We pray and fast to God to bring change in our community. We don't have internet here to share the videos with you, but I will myself come to ________ to share what God is doing.

Please pray for us. We have only two people who are opposing us. Pray that God will change their hearts. We are asking if God can provide three projectors for our 3 teams, we can bring a good number of people to Christ. We are also asking for two more phones to make our communication easier between teams. Sometimes I walk on foot for two to three hours to help brothers. I am so much encouraged with testimonies our brothers and sisters have in their experiences with Christ. So, I am also praying for a transport means like a donkey. We travel using donkeys camels and horses. We don't have roads or fuel. So please if God will help us that will also be great. May the grace of God be with you.

“Harry” was a devoted Muslim. Harry doesn't want his brothers to go to normal school instead he wants his brother to be Islamic Shaikhs. He took two of his brothers to Islamic tradition school where most of the students are chained until they memorise the whole Quran. Unfortunately, both of Husain's brothers died from the beating and the harsh treatment from the Shaikhs. They called Harry to go and bring his two brother's dead bodies. Harry didn't know that his brother's will die. But he signed agreement that if they died, he will say nothing. So, he kept quiet.

But he kept asking himself whether Islam is a right religion. Harry was passing by when I was preaching in the Market. He found me comparing Bible school with Islamic tradition schools and their impact on the community. I gave an example of our neighbour who lost their son from the beating of Shaikhs at (another traditional Islamic school). I didn't know Harry has suffered from the same schools to the point that he end up losing his two brothers. He was so much touched. He didn't say anything but then he asked someone, do you know that guy? He was pointing to me, and the person told him that he is a Christian having a Church up there. He just went back he didn't say anything again.

On Sunday, he came to the church. He prayed with us. After the prayer he told us his story. He said from the day my brothers were dead I lost faith in Islam. I heard you talking in the market, and I thought that you were talking about me. But I realised that you didn't know anything about the story. So, I came for you to tell me more about your beliefs. We shared the gospel and God enabled him to accept Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. Harry said in my area people respect me so much and I have many friends. I will definitely share Christ with them.

He took Bible and a Messenger with him, and he went telling people about this new way. After some time, he came back with amazing report. Harry said that "my brother my eyes are open now I can see. I could see our real problem we are lost because we don't have Christ in our lives." Harry also said that he reached to three areas in Central Darfur and in Western Darfur. In the areas of A_____, where he preached to three of his friends and all of them accepted Christ. He reached to G_____ he preached to many people and three accept Christ. He went to U____ and he preached to a family who gave their lives to Christ. This couple had very hard experience after their faith. But I will go and ask Harry to give me the full details of their story and I will write as soon as possible.

I was trying to make sure what he was saying was true, so I asked him to call for someone from A______ to encourage them to continue in their faith and one day we will be there. He call a man by name “Alf”, and he told us his incredible story. So, we prayed with our brother Harry and he went out.

Please pray for Harry and the brothers he reached.

Yesterday one of my friends called me and told me that he has information for me. He said that one of his friend went to him and told him “I want you to tell “Alan” that his life is in danger here in ________, and that there are some people planning to kill him. So, tell him to depart town and get himself to a secure place to live”

I understood this as one of the strategies to stop work by releasing this kind of news to cause fear in myself.

So, this friend came to me and told me, “Many people are against you, but also there are so many people standing with you, even in the Mosque. They believe that you are the answer of big question. And they want to encourage the church to open schools and provide good education to their children.”

He said, “if there is any against the church, it will first face us and then to the church.”

This is “Mark” he was a devoted Muslim. He is a university student. He has heard gospel through SD card. These are the SD cards CRM has equipped us with it. Generally we have been equipped with software materials like SD, torches, Flash drives, loaded with Jesus Film; the New Testament and Jesus stories in different languages. Last year we have 14 University students who came to Christ. One of them was sister “Jewel” who was given SD card and she shared most of her materials with her brother Mark. Mark then watched Jesus film and listened to the gospel carefully. After some time Mark met me in the market, and introduced himself to me. Then he told me his story.

He told me that I used to hate anything concerning Christianity and when my sister transferred these materials my aim was to understand what Christianity is all about. Then I end up losing hope in Islam and developing interest in Christianity. I was especially interested in the gospel of John. Specifically, when I heard Jesus teaching about the eternal food. In the book of John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.' Mark said, "I compared this teaching with the Islamic promise of paradise. In Islam everything that is promised is physical food. I also have learned that humans are all sinful not like in Islam where Sheikhs are considered holy people. So, I have decided to accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. What I need is to know how to practice my faith in this new life". I then took a time explaining to him what he should do to continue following Christ. He has got very happy, and he is a new follower in Christ.

The wife went back to Attim with that bad report. Alex said, “I know I didn't do anything wrong I just followed the instructions of police. God knows why these people are accusing me.” He asked his wife to pray with him. So, they prayed together. The wife went back home. He called a police officer to come there and told him “My people don't have blood money to pay and if they want to revenge let them kill me.” So, the officer reported that. They wanted to kill him without taking him to the court. Alex continued praying asking the Lord; “Jesus you know I am not wrong please help me.”

Two days later the officer in charge was changed and another assigned. He saw the case of Alex and went and interviewed Alex by himself. Alex told him the whole story. He called for the people who were looking for the blood money. They came he asked them for eyewitness who saw Alex shoot this man. They brought the eyewitness and he ordered them to be arrested and he released Alex. Then Alex was promoted to be their leader in the area.

Praise the Lord! Our Lord is alive and he does help us in His time.

Pray for Attim and his family that these people will not revenge and kill him.
